Meg Fite, Head Coach
Meg played as a midfield/striker and team captain at Holland Central High School in Holland, NY and once held the record for most goals. She was named to the Erie County All-star Team. She and her husband Tom have been in full-time sports ministry since 1992, spending four of those years in Bolton, England. While overseas, Meg helped form the Lady Ambassadors F.C. where she played in the UK’s North West Regional Women’s League. She was voted MVP two years in a row by her teammates. In 2009 Meg formed, and served as head coach of, a home school soccer team in Cincinnati winning both the 2009 NCSAA Great Lakes Classic and the 2009 National Homeschool Soccer Championship, Ft. Wayne, IN. Meg has home schooled her 4 children. While supporting and assisting her husband in the ministry of On Goal, her passion has been encouraging On Goal’s college-aged summer staff in the area of purity.
Morgan Sides, Assistant Coach
Coach Morgan grew up in Batavia, Ohio. She started playing soccer at age 4 and continued to play through college. As a holding midfielder and freshman for Wright State University, she scored the winning goal against Milwaukee University, a team her school had not beaten in 10 years. Going into the 2012 season, she contributed to Wright State’s NCAA Division 1 statistical ranking of 18th place for its goals against average, and 27th place ranking for the team’s shutout percentage. She appeared in 60 matches throughout her college career and was named team captain her senior year. In her final year at Wright State she served as Athletes in Action’s team representative, encouraging her teammates through Bible studies and events led by AIA. Morgan has coached On Goal Soccer Camps since 2010 and joined On Goal’s full-time staff in 2014.
Dale Simon, Assistant Coach
Dale, from Milford, Ohio, played soccer throughout high school serving 2 seasons as a captain and winning the National Homeschool Soccer Championship all 4 years with her team. Dale earned her BS in Health Education: Exercise and Fitness at the University of Cincinnati. Throughout high school and college Dale volunteered with several of On Goal’s programs, and worked as a summer camp coach, developing a passion for sports ministry. During her final semester, in the spring of 2016, Dale interned in Bury St. Edmunds, England with the Christian football club, Sporting 87, gaining valuable coaching experience and completing 2 FA coaching courses. In the winter of 2016 Dale joined On Goal as a full time staff member.
Tom Fite, Trainer
Tom grew up in Milford, Ohio and developed a passion for soccer at a young age. An All-Ohio player at Milford High School, he still holds the combined goals and assists record. Tom attended Cedarville University where he was a four-year starter and two-year captain. He was an NAIA All-American and the first NSCAA All-American at the university. Tom has been inducted into the Athletic Halls of Fame of both Milford High School and Cedarville University. After college, he played professional indoor soccer with the Memphis Storm, Dayton Dynamo, and the Jackson Rockers. Tom founded On Goal in 1985 and continued to compete and coach in countries all over the world. He holds an NSCAA National Coaching License and has a vast array of coaching experience.
