Crown Challenge Weekend

Crown Challenge Weekend

Many of our Passion FC teams participated in the Crown Challenge Tournament this weekend, playing through some crazy hot temperatures.  Three of our teams made it all the way to the finals!  The U9 Boys White team placed second and both the U11 Boys White and U14 Girls White teams were tournament champions in their divisions.

This past weekend, 13 of Cincinnati Spirit’s players represented their team at the National Homeschool Soccer Championship in Evansville, Indiana.  Having 4 games in 2 days, these girls played extremely well together and excelled on the soccer field. Making it all the way to the Girl’s First Division championship game, they claimed 2nd place losing in penalty kicks.  All throughout the weekend they received compliments for their beautiful style of play from other players, parents, and coaches.  These girls can all be proud of their debut appearance at this competition!

Senior Night

The Cincinnati Spirit concluded their season play this past week with four wins, defeating Bluegrass United, Immaculate Conception, Ohio United, and Warren County. The most exciting victory being the Friday, October 15th, win against Ohio United on senior night, which included a great goal from senior Bailey Smith! All of the seniors were recognized at halftime for their hard work and contributions to the team.  It was awesome to congratulate their achievements but these girls will be greatly missed by all their teammates and coaches!  Spirit is currently training hard to prepare for the National Home School Soccer Championship at the end of October.

The majority of Passion FC took part in the soccer-filled 2017 Cincy Challenge Tournament weekend, three of our teams progressing all the way to their championship game!  Coach Austin’s U10B White team celebrates as division finalists while Coach Ruani’s U12G Blue team and Coach Krhis’ U13B white team both earned first place titles.  Overall, it was a great experience for all of our teams and encouraging to witness players’ efforts on the field.

Passion FC’s U12G White team has had a lot to celebrate these past couple of weeks. Finalists in the Fill the Net Soccer Classic, the team worked hard to earn their place in the Division 2 championship game on September 17th.  These girls then celebrated this past weekend at their well-deserved Graeter’s Ice Cream Party as the top selling team of the Passion FC fall cookie fundraiser.
